Runaway trading ltd has been in the mini market and convenience store sector since 2001.
Our first convenience store of 200 sqm opened at 32 Nikis Avenue in Nicosia, and it was the first 24hr Παράβλεψη store in the area, which is one of the busiest streets of the city.
In 2004 a second store was opened at 89 Strovolou Avenue, one of the most car-busy avenues in Cyprus. At the same time, Runaway trading LTD was involved and still is in providing assistance and advice to new comers in this sector.
2007 is a milestone for Runaway trading ltd, as an agreement with Cassandra trading ltd and ITTI TRADE TOURIST & LEISURE PARK PLC was signed for the management of the one and only Convenience store in the Shacolas shopping park "MALL OF CYPRUS" in Nicosia. Alongside, our fourth convenience store opened at Perikleous Street at Strovolos in Nicosia.
In 2009, following the rescheduling of the company's shareholders, it was decided to sell three stores and invest in more demanding market areas, such as the University of Cyprus which had two stores in the campus, which where successfully managed for five consecutive years, serving 4000 university students and Academic staff.
In June 2012, collaboration was established with Anorthosis FC to manage and improve their canteen at their stadium “Antonis Papathopoulos” until June 2015.
On 10th of July 2013 an agreement was made with ATHIARI COMMERCIAL (PAPHOS) LTD, where the unique convenience store at the Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos, operated by Runaway trading ltd from 21st of November 2013.
As from 07/02/2015, our company also runs 2 shops in My mall Limassol so completes its presence in all the Mall of Cyprus.
At the same time, we operate at the University of Cyprus a cafeteria responsible for the feeding of the University students, in a joint venture with Zorpas, one of the largest bakery chain in Cyprus.
In July 2015 we welcome to the business family TobacGo Plus, a new cigars and alcohol concept, that our company started from Avenue Mall in Paphos and hopes to develop it in the following years.
Since 2017, our company has established a division of distributors and has undertaken the import and distribution of products of Candy Dudes throughout Cyprus.
We have furthermore created our own philosophy with regards to the design and implementation of how a convenience store should run and what products to be sold.
In the almost fifteen year of our existence in the market, we have excellent relations with both, salespeople and management staff of the largest suppliers in Cyprus, in the consumer goods sector, such as CASSANDRA TRADING LTD, PHILIP MORRIS GREECE, PHOTOS PHOTIADES LTD, ARGOSY LTD, A&P LTD, LANITIS LTD,LAIKO-COSMOS LTD ,VASSOS ELIADES, FROU – FROU and ZORBAS LTD.
