Valentinos Demetriou - Freelancer Profile

During the past four years I have been studying in the UK, finishing a BSc in 3D Computer Animation and an MA in Digital Effects at NCCA. Through the experience I gained over these years I have developed essential skills and knowledge required when it comes to the realisation of concept ideas. More importantly, the projects and group work in which I was involved, helped me improve my time-management skills and communication. Two vital attributes that one must possess if he/she is willing to work in a challenging setting like the one of a studio, or pass on his knowledge and teach others.

By being exposed to various visual styles and by integrating my knowledge in mathematics and physics I am able to deconstruct an effect in order to gain a better grasp of its components. My hobbies of magic and hypnosis have made me easily adaptable to any situation and they have aided me in expanding my artistic perception. Therefore, through my background, I have gained key technical and artistic skills which can help me maneuver easily around any difficulties

which may arise in a project.

During the past two years I have been working at a lighting design company in their Architectural Visualisation department as their main 3D artist. Furthermore I have worked at Semio production as a 3D artist and VFX supervisor for the three years. There I have the opportunity to cooperate with marketing departments from various companies in Cyprus (IKEA, DEBENHAMS, CYTAVISION, BANK OF CYPRUS e.t.c) Our main task was to produce top quality adverts for television. This last year I joined MOV Production team as their 3d and motion graphics artist where i was involved in many artistic projects for social media.
