THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a leading Group in the building materials and manufacturing of paints industry, we seek to recruit an enthusiastic and high calibre professional for the position of Head of Human Resources, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible to provide support relating to the Human Resources Function  according to the needs and priorities of the Group, by planning, coordinating and executing HR related activities.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following amongst others:

  • Design, implement and maintain HR procedures, policies and practices in support of the Company’s business goals
  • Confer with management to develop and implement improvements to the existing HR policies and procedures according to the Company’s needs
  • Assist and monitor the implementation of quality and health & safety policies, procedures and guidelines and ensure compliance
  • Perform GDPR procedures and ensure that all data is processed in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency
  • Maintain and monitor ISO internal processes and procedures and liaise with the ISO Auditors to coordinate quality control activities
  • Plan and coordinate recruitment and selection activities in line with the Company’s needs (i.e. vacancy preparation and announcement, CV evaluation, coordination of interview logistics, etc.)
  • Prepare offer letters and employment contracts in accordance with the relevant local legislation
  • Organize and coordinate the induction process for new employees to enhance a positive start of employment
  • Assess and identify employee developmental needs, plan, organise and implement training and development initiatives, and assess their effectiveness
  • Facilitate the Performance Management Appraisal process, ensure its successful implementation and provide guidance and support when needed
  • Perform personnel evaluations in coordination with the Head of each Department
  • Maintain, update and record the employee data in an effective and consistent manner while ensuring confidentiality standards
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, associates and authorities
  • Build interdepartmental relationships and maintain constant communication with the management and supervisory team in order to remain aware of any people issues or developments
  • Provide support and guidance for the resolution of any personnel problems/issues which may arise
  • Keep abreast with any new developments related to human resources such as trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies

REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration or in a related discipline
  • At least five (5) years of related professional experience in a large organisation
  • Good knowledge of the existing legislation and best practices related to his/her duties
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build strong relationships
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamworking skills
  • Organisational skills and ability to take initiative and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Analytical thinking skills, results-orientation and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer literacy

REMUNERATION

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
